The turquoise building of the Bar
Lucero or Café El Lucero is restored by the company Habaguanex
in collaboration with the Oficina del Historiador de la Ciudad
Habana. In front of the café, there is a roadside terrace where
you can watch the beautiful vintage cars passing away. The five
columns in front of the building gave the café a distinctive
atmosphere. It has also an upper floor with a low ceiling,
accessed by a spiral staircase. The Café El Lucero is the right
place to sup numerous cocktails for a cheap price despite the
unfriendly attitude of the barman, but it is not the right place
to sit back, relax and enjoy watching the daily life in Havana,
as the noisy traffic around would not allow it.
