Café Neruda (temporarely closed)
The Café Neruda was an outdoor café,
located in a renovated building between the colonial ocean-view
apartments. It was named after the famous Chilean poet Pablo
Neruda. The customers sat at tables or on park benches outside
of the café, protected from the wind by panes of glass. The area
was surrounded by geometrical architectural structures.
The café offered a variety of delicious
coffee, alcoholic beverage and a Cuban food consisting of light
snacks and sandwiches for a reasonable price, but the place was
rather preferred as a pleasant drinking spot on the Malecón. It
was a member of the national Habaguanex tourism company.
