Castas & Tal
The cozy place has minimal decoration
and contrasting colors like red, white and black. The menu is
nicely scripted on the walls.
The place is named after Doña Casta,
the merchant and the cook, specialized in croquettes and tapas
in Spain. During the Franco regime, she fled to Cuba. The chef
of the restaurant, Rancys Valdés, is one of her followers. The
chef creates excellent combinations from meat, rice and bananas,
adding onion, coriander, chili pepper and ginger.
