Habana Café, located at the same block with Hotel Meliá Cohiba, is one of those must-see places for anybody that visit Havana and look for a qualified place to have fun at night.
Habana Café has an original decoration that is a mixture of the contemporary style with the style of 1950s. It is either a ubiquitous Hard Rock Café or a Tropicana style cabaret that creates the atmosphere of the fifties, at the same time. The space is decorated with many vintage objects and photos of famous artists and relevant events. A convertible Chevrolet and a 1957 model Buick that every night turns the lights on and off sequentially and sounds the horn, are part of the show and bring 1950s’ chic to the place.
However, the most attractive object of the decoration is the YAK - 18 two-seater plane, hanging from the ceiling. It became the emblem of Habana Café worldwide. 1947 model Harley Davidson motorcycle completes the decoration of the place. The airplane and the motorcycle served as background for the numerous photos taken by the guests.
Habana Café works as a restaurant that offers musical shows performed by the prestigious musical stars that have not gone out of fashion. The place is mainly frequented by tourists to watch the cabaret show, but when the big Cuban bands, such as Los Van Van and the Charanga Habanera played here, the place became packed.
The food is a fusion between international recipes and traditional Cuban cuisine, but Habana Café is known by offering one of the best hamburgers of Havana. The show starts at 21:00. It is recommended to have the dinner prior to the show so that you would ensure a front table. When the live show ends around 23:30, you can show your dance skill on the stage in a lovely atmosphere until 02:30.
The cover is 20.00 CUC and it includes
one welcome cocktail. The price may increase on the days of
