The family-run Helad’oro is the best ice cream shop in Old Habana. The family learned the business in their 12-years long stay in France. The Helad’oro offers about 30 different flavors, ranging from the classic, like chocolate, to exotics, like guayaba, mango, soursop, mamey, even mojito. One of the specialties of Helad’oro is the Affogato that is a shot of Cuban coffee gently poured over your selection of one flavor. Ice cream made of Ferrero Rocher, rum raisins or almond chocolate are also recommended. The ice cream is straightforward here, 100% natural. They are served either in cone or in waffle cup. They sell also milkshakes.
