5 Placed in the base of the fortress San Carlos de la Cabaña, La Divina Pastora offers a splendid view of the harbor and the Old Habana. The emblematic restaurant owes its name to battery of cannons in front of it. The romantic place is also a good spot for dinner after the cañonazo (cannon shot ceremony) at La Cabaña. The restaurant offers international and seafood cuisines. The best choice would probably be seafood, such as lobster, because lobsters are kept alive in an on-site tank. Thus, it's guaranteed to be fresh. Grilled octopus, paella and creamy soups are recommended, but they also serve meat and pesto-doused vegetables for vegetarians. Although the location is perfect, it has some disadvantages of being a state-run restaurant. As a matter of fact, service is perfunctory, and has a meaningless understanding of not allowing photos of the restaurant to be taken.
