Once the beaten track of the diplomats and the cream of the society, even the favorite place of Fidel Castro, La Ferminia has lost many things from its glamour today due to the merciless competition of the new paladars. Even so, the state-run restaurant La Ferminia is still one of the best Cuban restaurants in the city.

The restaurant consists of a spacious, good air-conditioned, beautifully furnished room and a large garden patio outside, surrounded with palm trees.

The dishes are carefully prepared on a barbecue or in the oven and are accompanied by delicious salads. Grilled pork, steak done Argentinian-style, grilled lobster, three different kinds of sausages are recommended. There is a wide selection of cocktails, the Coco Rosa and the Tropical Silver cocktails being the specialties of the restaurant.
