La Imprenta (the Print House),
occupies the restored building of the former print house La
Habanera Imprenta, founded in the 19th century. The name of the
print house is preserved at the façade of the building. The
state-run restaurant has a huge space filled with memorabilia
from the building's previous life as a printing house. Old
letterpress printers are scattered around. The walls are covered
with metal murals designed from typographical motifs by Espacio
Cubano group. The wooden tables and the seats are recreated with
letters and numbers. The bar seats are in the shape of “7”. The
kitchen at the end of the ground floor, has a traditional
chimney with an oven made of firebricks. The restaurant also has
a spacious and pleasant inside patio where the guests can enjoy
their meal. On the upper floor, one of the rooms is called Salón
Boloña to pay tribute the first Cuban printer, José Severino
				Boloña.
There is an extensive menu offering
both light snacks such as tasty sandwiches, stuffed potatoes,
fried chickpeas with chorizo and pancetta, and tapas, as well as
fish fritters, salted shrimp and stew dishes. The charcoal grill
bar serves meat and stew dishes.
