The O’Reilly 3004 introduces itself as
a gin bar, making a reference to Alejandro O’Reilly, the Spanish
military of Irish origin, that arrived in Cuba as the head of
the Spanish troops shortly after the British occupation of the
island for a while in the 18th century, and reorganized the
Spanish army.
Even though, the area of the small
interior is extended by the mezzanine, the tables are a little
bit close to each other. The small bar on the ground floor has a
few metal seats. The walls are covered with modern artworks,
screen prints and photographs. The restaurant has a good
air-conditioning that rescues you from the humid air of the
street and a sound system that plays soft music. The crowd
consists mostly of the tourists and some local affluent
hipsters.
