The fourth floor consists of the library, a room used for temporary exhibitions related with Napoléon, and the terrace that is nicely covered with blue tiles.
The library proves the craftmanship of the
Cuban cabinetmakers. It is made of mahogany and contains about
4.000 books from the 16th to 19th century. The ceiling in Cuban
cedar looks rather elegant.
The bronze bust of the Emperor that stands
in a niche in the center of the library is the work of Colombo.
In 1812, it was cast in bronze in different sizes. The artist
represented Napoléon as a strong figure. This bust serves as the
emblem of the International Napoléonic Society.
